Why does MB refuse to build an E63s Coupe?

Can anyone tell me why Mercedes will not build an AMG E63s Coupe? MB has the C Class Coupe, GLC Class Coupe and S Class Coupe with the 63s? I have been hoping and waiting for years to buy an AMG E63s coupe.

My opinion: they don’t want to cannibalize the S Coupe/Cab sales. The E has more rear legroom and is a more athletic vehicle. Right now you either get the M3 beater C63s, if you wanted an E63 cab/coupe you settled for the E53 variant.
With the S coupe/cab departing there is room for an E63 coupe/cab

Looks like this might be the last of the E coupes also. C, E, and S, coupes on the chopping block. The only two door option will be SL or GT cars. Speculation of a new CLS possible with both two and four doors.

Can you refer me to a source for this information? I'm pretty much an exclusively 2-door person, so if this is true, I suppose my current car will be my last MB.

There are more articles out there - https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cne...continue-suvs/

"Mercedes has responded to market trends with an enlarged lineup of SUVs to meet demand"

Blech. In my eyes, SUVs are vulgar, decidedly American tanks which diminish the class and elegance that was once a hallmark of brands like Mercedes-Benz. I'll take consolation in the fact that BMW continues to invest in the 4-Series.

This German blog also mentioned the E and C coupe/vert getting the chop. We're going back to the CLK days with a new "CLE" coupe and convertible. You can use Google translate to translate to English.

I would buy a E63S Coupe in a heartbeat if I could. I've always loved the E coupe's size and the lack of a b-pillar. Hopefully there will still be one attainable coupe in the lineup like the "CLE" rumors suggest.
