Hey everyone i am new to the forums, but not to the mercedes car, family owned mercedes for over 15 years. Anyways....
I am in the market on buying a new car the three i was looking at where:

1) The 2003 C230 Kompressor Coupe. Overall I like the car, except something about the rear end doesn't look right. I found one with navi, fully loaded, but it doesn't seem like the the 4 cylinder generates enough power.

2) The CLK320. The only problem it would be used where i would be getting the C230K coupe practically brand new. The thing i like about the CLK320 is it has nice power and interior is definitely better.

There are other cars i have in mind also, but these are at the top of my list, leaning more towards the CLK obviously.
Another question i have is which is more reliable? Any common problems with the CLK320 or the C230 Kompressor coupe?
Thanx for your input!

The CLK320 is the nicer of the two vehicles IMO. It's more "sportier" looking, plus it has a more powerful engine. What year is the CLK though? I'm assuming you are talking about the older body style? Are you considering another C230 other than the one you mentioned? You later made a comment about the C230 being "practically brand new", yet the one you mention is almost 3 years old. I wouldn't exactly call this new.

I was looking at 2000-2002 CLK320s. Mileage range 25K-30K miles.
About the C, I was originally looking at 2003 C230K coupe with about 1k-5k miles on it. I have also seen real good deals for brand new 04 coupe models that they still have in dealers.

I don't know about you, but a 2-3 year old car with only 5K miles on it kind of scares me. Why didn't anyone drive it? Was it in the shop the whole time?

Not sure, don't know the history of the car, I'm assuming maybe it was just garaged.

Get the CLK, easy decision, really, it is. It is a solid car, always has been. I do not even think they make C coupes anymore.

They are still making C coupes, they are just not importing them into the US anymore. The CLK is a nice car, but it's an older outdated style as well.

After taking additional test drives in the two models, I think I am sold to the CLK320. We will see, hopefully my search ends soon.
I also really wanted to test drive a CLK430.

It is now in between the CLK320 and E320. More towards the CLK320, although someone told me that the CLk is reliable but a lot of them have electrical problems either way I think i sold myself to the CLK.
Hopefully if all goes well I will have a CLK sitting in my driveway by the end of this month.
