Hey NY, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the compliment. Actually, I had the guys of D2 Autosport hook me up. Stefan and Derek are great guys and they do what it takes to make the client happy. Don't give them and BS and the won't give any back. That's the proper way of doing business and they will go far doing it right. We had a little issue with the HIDs but they came through with flying colors.
Not only are they great business men and have a very qualified crew working for them, they are also great guys to chat with and pick their brains when it comes to hooking up your ride.
I don't know how many of you guys got to meet them during the meet in Freeport, LI (I missed it myself) but if you did, you know what I mean.
BTW, Stefan/Derek, have a great weekend and enjoy the wedding! for everything!

Thank you (and Thanks to Jen as well!). It's been a nicely wet season and lots is blooming. <Sniffle> It's been a while since I've seen it this green. Unfortunately, as nice as it is, a hot summer can mean lots of fuel for fire season. We haven't had a big close fire since the early 90's.
Where will you be? (And season opener of ... ?)

Please don't be offended by the fact that I haven't the slightest idea in the world when that is. The Lucas Oil Dragboat Racing Series just isn't in my day planner, man. What're the dates?

Brakes and Wheel Size
I had just finished washing it which is why the brakes appear to have a rust looking film on them. Wheel size is 22x9 Vossen 0078 on Yokohama Prada Spec X.
Thanks,
Thanks,

I was thinking about you this weekend - I washed my GL and noticed the brakes had the same rusty look (which they never had before) - so that makes sense.
my previous car (Infiniti FX) had permanent rusty looking brakes which the dealer said was probably from sitting on the docks too long when it was imported (all the sea water in the air?) - anyway, those brakes squeaked incessentantly and was highly annoying at times. nice to be able to hit my brakes now and not hear anything.

Some pics of my 2009 GL550
hope this link to my photo album works. No mods to speak of yet...but I did attempt to enhance the pics through some simple effects on the background, saturation, etc...
Hope to get some sunset and night shots soon..

New rims for my GL
I'm looking for some new rims for my GL.....thinking of 22" or larger. Any ideas/suggestions? If you have 22" rims or larger....would be great if you can post some pics.
Also, besides suffering a bit on the ride quality...any other downsides with larger rims?

thoughts on 22's
I was a little concerned with the road noise and feel when moving to the 22's. I don't hear any road noise and road feel is great. I honestly think it had no effect at all but I’m sure it did a little bit since you are moving from 19 Conti’s to 22 Yokohama. I also think picking the right tires and wheels make all the difference in the world as well. I currently run 22x9 Vossen 0078 Black Machines on Yokohama Prada Spec X tires. Good Luck.. I have posted some pictures on this same thread.

Pretty pics of a beautiful car, Sipclark. Enjoy in good health as a wise man says around here.
Anyone got an 2010 GL yet? I saw one on the road the other day and want to see some pics.

Some Carlsson bits and pieces
Apologize for the poor lighting and quality of pictures. The pictures were taken in the parking lot. Just got a few Carlsson items installed:
- Front lip
- Front Grill
- Rear Lip
- Exhaust tips
- Pedals
- Door Lock Knob
- Suspension lowering module
Thinking about some 22" rims.........
