Just a few photos of the new ride...have had it for about 2 weeks. Its an awesome drive and ride.

congrats man that is a beautiful ride (exept that i am still trying to register the way it looks from the side)... I test drove it in Boston a few months back... sweet ride.... great rims.

I'll admit the side profile isn't the prettiest, thats why I chose to get a black one, it minimizes it to a certain degree. Its a great vehicle to drive.

yeah and the rims help too... i think black is the right color for the GL. re the premier edition: what's missing? anything else you wish was included in it?

Yes, it could use the Rearview Camera, Keyless Go and Distronic. Why they didn't include these things is beyond me.

Personally I love the Side Profile. Car Looks Great!!

Does anyone know how much the Brabus package costs (with either engine variant?)

I noticed you have DVD video at the main Navigation Control Panel. How was this accomplished and at what cost?

Did you locate the Brabus package? If so, what was the cost and what were the specs of the wheel?

I've heard that the offset needs to be high (45-55mm).

My customizer took out the COMAND module and linked the aftermarket rearview camera and DVD to it while maintaining the stock inputs such as the Ipod integration module, navigation, audio. I also had an override switch installed so I can use the rearview camera full time. Same with the aftermarket DVD player and game console.

The cost of materials and labor was around $1200.

Taken today at Fletcher Jones in Las Vegas, NV. Most basic models with few options. I am having second thoughts on the Obsidian Black and without Barolo Red available until June I am now leaning toward Arctic White. It really looked great!

Nevada Jack...you are TOO funny! I am going through the same thing you are trying to decide on a color! I first wanted Pewter...then i was sure I wanted Barolo Red. Then when I saw Verde Brooke...I knew that was the color. Well one of my neighbors just got a white GL450...and it sure looks good! I love the Verde Brooke (which is almost black), but when I see a black one, it always looks so dirty. I think at this point i've narrowed it down to either pewter or white...but that could change any moment!

Yeah Taz...decisions, decisions...:-) I think if MB had not thrown me a curve ball on the Barolo Red I would have stayed with that, even though it is a dark color. But after seeing the white ones yesterday against the black...the decision was easy for me. Pewter is the nicest of the greys but I am not a big grey fan. I think my dealer has cut me off of changes...:-)

Well the color I would REALLY like to have is the medium blue from the photo on the other thread of the GL420CDI Vision...but that's not an option currently. I have a pewter color car now, I love it, and it really hides dirt well...but sort of wanting something different on my next vehicle. I, like you, would probably still be considering the Barolo if there wasn't an issue with it.

That BLUETEC Blue is a special paint application also.

My 2003 E320 was Pewter and it is a great color...never showed the dirt. With white the only problem you have is the "sling" from the wheels and it shows on the rocker panels.

when you say "special paint application", do you mean a special color for a showcar, or can you actually special order it for an exhorbatant fee?

I think MB uses what they call AluBeam or something like that for their vision and concepts. It will eventually enter the production line, probably on the S and will cost a pretty good penny....couple of grand probably.
