Bluetooth Phone

Hi all,

I purchased a GL450 today and I was trying to sync my RAZR with it and have incountered a problem. When I discover the car on my phone I try to bond with the car and it ask's me the car's Bluetooth passcode. I cant find the code... I have the Bluetooth option and all but can't seem to fully sync it. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

thank you

Unplug your BT module and you will see the code printed on the back label. Also the code should be in your instruction manual too.

my dealer price was at $500 but I told them it was rediculous since on the MB site it was 350. After some hassle, they gave it to me for $300. They installed mine for me and I havent really had an issues with it other then taking about 5min to sync with my car and if I get a phone call in that time it doesnt know what the hell to do!!

Try this code

Out of my Quick guide Use 62872. If this does not work it is located on the Quick Guide that came with the unit. BT works great.

It seems like 62872 is the universal code for the BT puck.

Thanks guys I called my dealer and he misplaced my quick guide in the door cargo bay... the code was 62872 and now it works! I think that there is two different types of Bluetooth modules, one is a simple plug in, while the other (mine) is a space ship thing with lights in the console.

If you forget 62872. Just remember the alfa phone number code MBUSA! It's the key for MB Bluetooth devices.

True Bluetooth spec requires different keys for each manufactured unit for security reasons. Since this can cause warranty nightmares (customers forget/loose unique codes) MB took the next best route and went with "MBUSA" instead of the more common 0000 or 1234.

If you forget MBUSA, slide the "SLR brake cooling vent" (it's an SLR without wheels not space ship thing) styled door back on the Bluetooth Interface and you will see the key printed on a little tag inside.

MSRP for the Bluetooth interface is $350. Shop around untill you find a dealer that can sleep at night without charging 60 - 100% margins!

If you can't you can always mail order it from www.wireless4mb.com.
