550 is in the HOUSE
Thanks everyone for your support, can't wait to OFFICIALY become a member.
Coincidentally, I was at the dealer last night so my wife could test drive an ML550, which they didn't have, and the dealer told me mine was being delivered today and would be prep'd and ready for delivery on Friday.
I asked the dealer if customers were permitted to sleep over.

BTW...saw the post on mud-flaps. I too will pass on these, regardless of what MBUSA says it appears the "factory fit" will not be a good one.
I bought from Globe Motor on Bloomfield Ave. in Fairfield. So far no complaints. We'll see......................

Lastly, I finally got my wind noise problem fixed for the roof cargo box. That one you could hear at 10mph. Now, you don't notice a thing until you hit about 75mph.
NICE!
Actually, the solution was sooooo easy. I'm really embarrassed for the dealer. My MB SA and Mechanic tried to tell me the whistling noise was just normal and to be expected when the cargo carrier is on the roof. Yeah right!
I talked to the parts guy and he gave me two rubber strips similar to the ones in our chrome crossbars. I cut them down to the exact size to fit in the center of the bar in two places when the cargo carrier is on the roof. VOILA! No more sound.
I really wonder if SA's and Mechanic's just think we're all a bunch of Patsies and will accept any answer they give.
My apologies to the one and only true Patsy. By the way... how was that ride home tonight?

NJ is there a diffrence in the bars?
Here are a couple of pics of my chrome cross bars. I don't know what the 450's cross bars look like, so let us know the difference between mine and yours when you get time.
