chrome door handle shells... who's got them?

i'm trying to pick up a set and would like to know if the ones from formymercedes are the same quality as the oem ones.

for those w/ the formymercedes... how are they holding up?

ie, is the thickness of the shell the same? the price difference is nearly double, but if the oem one is thicker than i'd rather go with that one.

does anyone know?

it's either that or the handle area gets all scratched up again

can't you get the clear plastic liners? much more subtle solution

you mean the 3m clear bra material? i found some but they are asking $60 for all four doors. at that price my reasoning is the chrome shells will last longer than the plastic which is going to show the scratches as well.

that sounds like the stuff i'm thinking of, but that's a pretty steep price. much more than i was expecting.

i'd look for the raw material and buy a square foot and cut my own. of course, it's probably tough to find since it's such a good, cheap solution.

tough call, a "blingy" solution or a more expensive subtle solution (with more class :y)
