Rear Entertainment Headphones

I recently bought a 2007 GL450 and can't seem to find any indication about the wireless headphones in any of the manuals. Does anyone know how to get them working or how they even work. If you have the rear entertainment with wireless headphones could you tell me how you get the head phones to work. Thanks.

07 RSE from factory did not have wireless headphones. Only wired. If you want to use WLess headphones, you will have to buy BT headphones or get some engineering done.

No wireless head phones?
I just bought the car and the dealer gave me a pair of head phones and a remote.

They say "Icon-TV Wireless automotive infrared headphones stero fich-ir" on them.

Does any one have these?

Here's a link to the same product: http://icondealerservice.com/catalog...d&productId=95

If it is "factory RSE" then they are not wireless. MB did not use a wireless RSe until 2009. If you have wireless headsets I am thinking it is an after market DVD system. You might want to check with your dealer and see if they know who installed it. The picutre of the headsets in your thread do not match the 2009 ones. 2009 has the MB emblem on them.

No, this is not the one from 09 RES'. Hopefully it's more durable than the 09 stocks, I broke one of the wireless headphones 2 weeks after we bought the car! Also, my daughter kept complaining they were uncomfortable until I replaced them with a nice wired hifi headphone for her.

The RSE system is factory. The dvd is loaded under the seat and the two screen are mounted behind the head rests. I have an iPod interface so no aux input, sound comes out of the command system fine. And it doesn't play burnt DVDs. So I guess maybe they don't belong with this vehicle. Thanks for everyones help.

The headphones you provided link to are definitely not factory and looks like they may have been added on by the dealer (or previous owner, if you bought it used).

Burned DVDs will play in 07 Factory RSE. Just make sure to use a DVD+R blank.

What do you use to burn the discs? I use nero vision. Do I need to set certain settings like speed or book type?

I use Nero also. No special settings. If a particular media does not work then try another brand of DVD+R.

The correct MB wired headphones for a 2007 GL450 are:
"Kopfhoerer" (Headphones)-# A 221 870 00 89
The correct remote control is:
"Fernbedienung" (Remote Control)-# A 164 820 41 89
