Need suggestion with lease residual value

My 2007 GL450 lease is expiring at the end of June and I am considering buying it. The residual value is at $40,400.00. Mercedes Financial offers the buy out price of $38,400.00. What is the current fair market price for the GL450? I don't want to pay more than $35,000.00. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

GL 450
Residual value

You have not mentioned miles and options on your vehicle ? It has lot to do with the miles and options/feature/color etc. Someone has posted here a national listing couple days ago, here it is

In my opinion $38800 is not too bad given that you own this vehicle from the birth.

I was struggling with that decision when my GL450 lease end last November. You can check out my post which had some good suggestion from the folks in the forum.

Fast forward, I decided to lease the 2010 GL350 instead. Not sure what options you have for the prices that you wanted to pay...

My GL450 is in Barolo Red, 31K miles, MSRP at around $69K but got it for $63K, options include premium 2 package(keyless go, NAV, parktronic, etc), rear climate control, running board, MB Tex and others. TIA.

I think MB financial is making you a reasonable offer. Check out Edmunds.com and configure your GL. You have low miles. You would probably have a hard time finding one on the used market in good condition with those miles for $35k but I don't know that for sure.

They are going for over $40K for 2007's up in Minnesota. My '08 is up July 1...my residual is $41K and a pretty decent buy as mine has everything and similar on the market is high $40's to a few just over $50K. But I'm going to wait it out until they offer better. Then drive it for a year for free!

I think for the options and condition of the car 35K will be a great deal. 38.4k is still not bad. Not sure if you have ever considered release another?
