if you are purchasing from dealer they should offer 2yr extended warranty that you pay for and 1yr starmark warranty for free. if this is not a dealer's purchase I would recommend continued search for better deal These auto are expensive to maintenance without warranty, especially during initial purchase and $$ is invested.

Car warranties are really insurance policies. They even use the same terms: deductible, premium, policy, etc. Like any insurance product they are no better that the company selling them. You should NEVER by this insurance for something you can afford to pay for even if you didn't have the policy. Therefore, you better be VERY sure the insurance/warranty company will 'be there' for you if and when you need it. On car warranties that almost always means the manufacturer is most certain to 'be there' (If they aren't, you probably can't get the repair done anyway for lack of parts). Otherwise go to an insurance rating company such as A M Best. ONLY buy from a company A M Best rates as A+ or AA, EVER!

Hey i'm new to this site. Thought i would share my buying experience. Last week driving by the Mercedes dealership, i decided to stop by and take a look at some pre owned cars. I test drove the gl450 and loved it. The dealer wanted $40k. It didnt have the entertainment package in the back. it did have the parktronics and the hk audio and leather dash. no back up camara or adaptive cruse control. 44800 miles white exterior tan interior. i was able to haggle my way down to $36200. It was in surprisingly good condition. It was a cpo so it came with 1 year 100k mile warranty. Not sure if it was a good deal.

Yes it did have navigation and 3 zone climate. The dealer told me he got it for around $34k and the cpo warranty thing is like $1200 and the rest was what he was going to make. Not sure how truthful this all is i was thinking in the back of me head 34-35 k sounds more accurate.
