I think you can easily negotiate about 15% off the MSRP. We managed to negotiate 13% off w/o any hard negotiating. If you were to go on the internet, dealers would already knock off 10% right off the bat. So in theory I think you can get up to 15-20% if you are lucky.

Remember shortage of cars. Strike in Africa with C Class and MB is not making as many cars in the plants especially GL's. Also, MB just announced the winter event programs and GL was not included just C and E's. Less inventory translates into less room for haggling down from MSRP. If you get 15% great but don't be surprised if you don't. The dealers are not giving away even though they got to sell what they got at good margins.

I have expanded my search radius to 200 miles including dealers in medium size to large cities and I can not do better than 5.5-6% off MSRP which is 500 to 1000 above invoice. I that's the best I can do that's fine but it makes you wonder when you hear about 15% off.

Just got word that there is only 12% off on the GL. NO way you are getting 15%. If any of you are USAA member visit the dealership and let them know you are a USAA member they will assist in getting you money off of MSRP and the dealer also gets a kick back and you can combine any other incentives.
Thanks,
