I don't think so.
I went to fill up my GL350 for the first time last week. I pulled up and guess what? The diesel pump wouldnt fit into my tank! It was one of those really big ones (wide) like for a pressurized fast fill that maybe semi uses or something. It wouldnt fit into my GL. I had to go to another diesel pump which had the "small" diesel nozzle and that fit in. It didnt look any bigger than a gas pump nozzle.

The BMW in the picture that shows the diesel insert part on the car looks like it takes the "big" nozzle which I dont think our GL's will even take.

GL 320cdi, Chevrolet Avalanchero, GLE 350 (on order)
on my '08 you can use the wide nozzle, but you have to hold it in, as it fits into the outer rim, but won't hang there. You can also buy an adaptor that you slip over the nozzle. They might be useful to have in an emergency if you can't use the wide nozzle on the 350.
