MB Extended Warranty Vs NAC Extended Warranty?
Hi,
I got the following quotes for extended warranty for 2008 GL450. Please advise which is better and why?
MB Factory EW - 7yr/100k miles - $4500k
NAC Pinnacle - 60 months/85k miles - $4,800, 0 deductible ( but my dealer is offering $1k discount so it is essentially $3800)
If I buy the EW today:
MB EW will last untill 10/2015 or 75k miles (on top of the current mileage)
NAC EW will last untill 11/2016 or 85k miles (on top of the current mileage)
In terms of Claims, acceptability which is the best option?
Please advise...
Thanks

On my 2009 GL550, bought pre-owned from a private ind, they gave me an extended warranty of an additional 6 years or 100k miles for 3100. Bank of America was the issuer. My vehicle was not eligible for the MB EW since it was bought pre-owned and it was not a CPO.
They said it covered everything the factory warrant did except for airbags. No deductible.
Just bought it so have not had to use it yet.

MB will be in business for sure. 3rd party may not. I would NEVER buy 3rd party if manufacturer warranty is available. With MB you will be covered. Be prepared to fight with 3rd party.

Email around other MB dealers for quotes. I found best quotes from MB of Georgetown and Euromotorcars in Bethesda. I would go with an MB warranty because:
1. Piece of mind that the company will be around.
2. Don't have to get preapproved or have to deal with paperwork yourself.
3. Zero deductible.
