Navi Screen Replaced - too bright
Hi there,
I just had the navi screen replaced on my 2012 GL350. The old screen had a bubble on the side so Mercedes decided to replace the whole thing.
The new screen seems really bright, so bright that all of the colors appear faded out. I'm pretty sure the old one was not like this. The brightness setting is on -5, and to be honest, the brightness setting does almost nothing anyway. The dealer who did the install said that they cannot see the difference, but I definitely can. I am due to take it to another dealer in a couple of weeks. Can anyone else with a similar model let me know their answers to a couple of questions
a) on the navi maps, are highways red or orange. I'm pretty sure they used to be red but now they are orange.
b) if you go to the main page that has the clock, is the background black or grey?
c) if you are on the radio page (sirius page) is the yellow bright yellow or faded yellow?
d) if you go into night mode and look at a navi map, is the background black or grey?
I've attached a couple of pictures to show the screens i'm interested in. Unfortunately my camera is not good enough to show the actual issue.
