help..wet 2012 GL 450
First post here...I have a GL 450 that got caught parked in a heavy down pour with the sunroof open. Everything is dried out but there are problems now. Water pooled up under the front seats so I'm sure the front SAM was wet.
Here is the issue...It powers up but doesn't start, only the left front headlamp (HID) lights up but the right front I know is good. The rear windows don't work either. It did start once and both headlamps came on but hasn't started since. The battery symbol lights up on the dash but I've replaced the battery and the symbol still shows...Any ideas?? Are there other 'modules' that could have gotten wet? Any help is appreciated. What does the SAM under the passenger seat control?
Thanks

I would think you have collision coverage since it is a 2012. With that assumption, flat bed it to the nearest acceptable dealer and get them to sort it out. You should only have to pay for the deductible.
There are an amazing amount of water sensitive electronics and electrical connections to be taken apart, cleaned, dried, reassembled and then reset using the dealer's Star computer.
