Check Engine Light GL 320 CDI
Recently my CEL came on. I did the following to reset: 1 turn ignition off, 2 turn ignition switch to test position before engine starts, 3 press reset button for 3sec, 4 turn ignition off, then waited for some min, 5 then turn ignition on, start engine , CEL is gone. Any comments ??

Out Of Control!!
You should have had it read, so when it comes on again you know if it is the same problem or a different one.

Check engine light came on again. Went to Advance auto parts and they checked and found-Camshaft position sensor. However car is running fine ?! Today the light went off again. Could this be a contact problem ?

Question for the gang?
Do our CDI (and maybe Bluetec) engines have CPS like the gas V6?
If so, do they fail for the same reasons, and if so is MB covering them like the gas 350 engine?

If it is a CPS, the problem does not go away. My E350 had random CELs till they were replaced.

If there is someone near you on the MB Star locator it might be worth looking them up. The STAR diagnostics gives you a lot more info than Advanced Auto can.
