Any recommendation on source for non-error code LED license plate lights?

I fairly certain those won't fit the X164. I have a 2010 GL550 and the license plate bulbs are the festoon type.


I tried these and they didn't work (still got errors in MID "license plate bulb error"):

hey guys do you know if i buy the new 2013/2014 Led for the license plate for my 2010 e class, do you know if they work and plug? will I get an error message? mine has the normal t10 lamps but I want to change it to led.

Our T10/194 V5 wedge LEDs will work and won't throw any codes. Will output a crisp white light

AZN Optics, do you have a LED bulb for a 2102 GL350 license plate that error free? It's the 36mm Festoon type i believe.

Unfortunately, newer ML/GL model rear SAM actually has different spec compared to all other MBs (and even the front SAM!). This means that pretty much all normal canbus units you see out there will throw codes and you have to tap in external resistors to pull enough current to not trigger errors. We've been working on a plug and play design, but the higher current draw required generates too much heat right now. We're still working on it though.
