anyone else have this interesting "option"
I have a 2011 GL350 with an interesting option that I haven't been able to find any info on.
This option only happens with the rear passenger door (North American Car)
If the car is locked from the outside. If the first door opened is the rear passenger door, the door will unlock and open, and all windows and sunroof will open about 40%.
When that door is closed, the windows and sunroof will close, and the car will lock itself.
At this point, the keyless entry will not work at all on any other door. You can touch any other handle or push the buttons, and nothing will happen. But that rear passenger door can unlock and open.
The doors can be unlocked by pushing the button on the key.
NO OTHER DOORS can recreate this effect as far as I can tell.

I know this is an option that is usually programmed with the key if you hold the unlock and lock buttons for a few seconds respectively.

sounds like that was programmed from previous owner. The standard unlock parameters are: driver's door only 1st press, 2nd press unlocks all doors, holding down the unlock button lowers all windows.
