this setup held while on my way home. CEL went away but the P0299 stayed on my ELM. Going shopping for a aftermarket reinforced silicone hose. yay... PN 1645282182 Item marked #2 on MB diagram

Doing a little research, this is a common problem on Sprinters.http://sprinter-source.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29053

there is a "repair" kit, but IDK if is just an emergency fix or permanent.

Haha nice fix. I did the same on my old XC90 - lots of duct tape did the job for a week till I got the new hose in. Didnt need the clamps but you definitely did it proper! I dont even think you needed a new hose haha.

I think thats just the repair kit. I would just replace the hose and forget about it.
