Mercedes Benz service - what to look for

Just bought my first MB. 2012 CPO GL450. Very very happy. Had to buy it in a city about 2 hours away. However we do have a Mercedes Benz dealer in town, however they sell MB, Audi, Volvo and VW.

How do I "interview" them so to speak to make sure they are qualified? I may sound paranoid, but the dealer has recently been bought out as they had a horrible service reputation.

What should I look for? Any concerns with the other makes mechanics working in the Mercedes?

Appreciate any thoughts on this topic. Hopefully will not need the service any time soon. Thanks.

I'm assuming you are in the USA (not all members of this forum are)
Given that, it is ALWAYS helpful to those who might reply to know what part of the US you are in - you might get very good and specific info useful in your area only.
Since we don't know where you are the following general advice goes:
When the car needs something minor (and hopefully not too expensive) such as a rear wiper blade replacement, make an appointment with your local dealer to do just that. Bring the vehicle in on time and just see how you are treated.
Is the service prompt, accurate?
Is the price what they quoted?
Did they offer a free loaner? (this usually happens at M-B dealers when the car will be in for part of a day, not just oil change.)
Did they clean your car well, inside and out? At no charge?
Did they do any damage at their shop?
Were they polite, pleasant and friendly?
Did you get the feeling they WANT your business? (because if they don't want YOUR business why should YOU want to go to them?)
