Spacers on GL550 anyone?
Have anyone put spacers all around on a gl550?
I have factory wheels and they look a little too tucked under the fender, i want a wider stance.
I am considering 20mm HR spacers front and back, any suggestions?

Can anyone recommend 20-25mm for front or 20-25mm for back wheels.
These are the original 21" wheels on a l550

I just ordered 15mm and 20mm spacers for my GL550.
I also ordered the extended bolts for the spacers, It should be here this week.

Thanks!!
I do notice less rolling/leaning from the back, the steering feelings more grounded when turning.
I first test drove it with only the rear spacers on and I could tell the difference.
I can also see the tires being lush from the side mirrors.
To be honest you can get away with the rear spacers only and it do makes a difference. The rear flares are further out than the fronts.

Hey Man thinking of getting spacers for my 09 gl550.
I see that you were tossing a few different spacer sizes and you ended up going with the 15 and 20.
What made you go with those sizes?
Was the 25mm to big?
Thanks for your help

I'm also interested in doing spacers on my GL550, but need to know what length lug bolts to buy. I did 10mm spacers years ago on my Audi RS6 and the hardest part was figuring out what bolts to buy.

Pardon for bumping this thread...but with the added spacers on the wheels, has it affected the camber on the car a lot? I have a GL550 and it eats up the inside of my rear tires like there’s no tomorrow. The last set lasted less than 20k before needing to be replaced.
I was curious if adding spacers would even decrease the wear on the tires.

Crash bolts will not help. Available for the front “Caster” only and a minimal one offset position. No front Camber essential to correctly resolve costly, premature edge tire wear by allowing to adjust tire contact angles, spread load more evenly.
We therefore manufacture two options for the front of all GL models.
1. The 4 front lower arm bushes providing both Camber and Caster adjustment. At same time replacing the highest wearing bushings. Especially the 2 rear bushes (Caster) which are subject to premature failure and OEM are very expensive to replace.
Kit comes with bush extraction tools allowing fitment without need for arm removal $695 (Both sides)
2. Front replacement upper arm inner bushings. Also precise Camber and Caster adjustment for the 1st. time. Bush extraction tool included allowing fitment without arm removal $480 (Both sides)
For the rear again precise Camber (and also Toe) adjustment doubling existing adjustment range. Also at same time replacing the 4 highest wearing bushings. Fit on vehicle - bush extraction tool included. $480 (Both sides)
DHL Delivery world wide $40 one kit ($20 each extra)

Wanted to post up some photos of my setup since I had trouble finding pics of setups other than this thread.
I purchased from 4wheelspacers.com and they provided spacers and longer bolts.
I went with 12mm front and 18mm rear because I didn’t want it to be too aggressive. I think if I had to do it again I’d do 20mm rear or maybe even 25mm but I’m still happy with this setup. Looks so much better than stock!
