07 GL JACKED UP IN THE REAR - STUCK
Hi,
I've searched a lot of threads and I was not able to find the similar issue that I seem to be having..
The driver side shock was replaced and the passenger side was fine... was checked over a month ago... today, I pulled off the road, not going more than 10 mph on to uneven pavement and I received an arrow up malfunction light on the dash.
I checked it out and the back is JACKED... really really high.... I checked the front and it seems to be going up and down... not really to the normal driving position... but, at least, I hope, that I am not on bump stops.
I can hear the compressor turning off and on and all of the wiring looks good...
I've heard of everyone having issues with the front not going up or down... but mine seems to be the reverse. I used the airmatic raise and lower, I see the front going up and down... but the back looks jacked still....
thanks in advance.

I don't know too much about the system, but it might help to find out whether one corner is raised and not both. Might be that the ride height calibration mechanism has failed on one corner. I don't know if the system adjusts each side independently or in tandem.
Is the compressor cycling on and off while the truck is sitting there? Or only when it is adjusting ride height?
Overpressurizing one of the springs might stress it. Hopefully the system is designed to be fail-safe - that is, it can't apply more pressure than the spring is meant to withstand.
As a fellow owner of a 07 GL450, I'm mighty curious what the issue is.

It's both sides.... Front raises and lowers like it should, but the rears seem to just stay jacked...both sides.
I'm guessing that it's either popped line, shocks are seized, or relay's gone fritzy.
Trying to get in to my mechanic today, RMP motors, but he's so good, he so busy, lol.

The front and rear are controlled separately: I forget the component common to each the front and the rear, but being that both sides on just the rear are affected, I'd say it's the rear controller setup

Your car needs to be read and the valve block as well as the height sensors need to be interrogated.
Avoid driving the truck until fixed or you will be looking at a new compressor as well.

mechanic squeezed me in and it looks like the left rear self leveling sensor is shot and so is the connector.. corroded to all hell.... the pins actually popped out when we tried to pull the plug from the sensor.
will be replacing tomorrow.... all other scans came up OK... the car did show the lift malfunction and it had a "twist" error... I guess that shoulder was lower than I thought.. lol.

I was going to suggest poking the air springs on each side with a blunt stick, like a broom handle. You'd see one is very tight (high pressure) and one is low.
Good luck with that, and post a reply with the outcome. Much appreciated.
