Hub is the same but the offsets are different.

Another source for this type of info is TireRack. If the wheels they sell for a GL are the same as the wheels they sell for a ML then they are the same. If not you might have to dig deeper to find out what the difference is.

On the GL550 the offset is 37. The bolt pattern and hub opening are the same. I would suspect the ML is different to accommodate the size of the tire. You want the offset to be as close to the factory wheel otherwise you will kill the wheel bearings. Also clearance becomes an issue too.

The reason for the question was a co-worker of mine is wanted a set of ML63 09' wheels.

He got the wheels and they fit perfect.

Mercedes made two colors of the GL550 Wheel. Charcoal and Silver. The pic looks like the charcoal insert.

Mine have the silver, which seem to be hardest to get in the secondary market. I've contacted numerous places and all have said to go aftermarket as the OEM wheels were either poorly made or cracked or both.

Mercedes wants 1600 for one wheel. 1644017002 I'm not interested in paying that kind of money for a wheel.

I've found some replica wheels but they are made in China. I can buy 4 for 800 shipped. My concern was or course quality/safety, being made in China. Also to be able to buy 1 in the event one gets hosed off. I can only buy them in a set. 800 is still cheaper than 1600 for one that's for sure.

I bought what I believe are the exact same wheels used on CL for my 450. They were MB replica's that the previous owner had purchased for his ML63.

The tire profiles were wrong (too low), and I now have new tires with the right profile on, they fit fine and even the TPMS sensors worked without issue
