anyone experienced w LED conversion for H7 Halogen
Hello;
Anyone experience with HID or LED conversion Kit for H7 halogen bulb?
Headlight look very dim compare to my newer cars.. I can install HID kit without issues.. Wondering if the new LED conversion worth looking at and if there are challenges.

Although LED technology has come a long way, it is still not advisable to replace LEDs in any forward projecting lighting that serves as main means of road illumination in housing not designed to specifically capture LED light spread. You end up with dark spots and reduced throw distance. The new COB 3D units are promising as it gives you true 360 spread, but the doesn't have the lumens (yet) to be viable for headlights. You're still better off going the HID route for upgrades.
LEDs are ideal for indication type lighting or short throw (interior, rear plate, etc) lighting. They can be used for fogs though as you're not relying on fogs really for road illuminations.

Yeah, do not replace your h7 driving light with an led kit. You can change out to an h7 based hid kit. Will give you great illumination with a slight alignment of your reflector.
