does anyone know of where i can purchase 9 inch illuminated star for front grille of my 2011 gl550

Not sure you can outside of a custom job. MB got rid of the ridiculously large star on the newer models in favor of better aesthetics.

First link is bad. The other issue is the illuminated star is for the standard size star that all non-550 164's and all 166's have. There is not a 9" illuminated star available for the 164 550.

what do you mean? So as long as you have a gl350 or gl450, it will work?

164 550 has a larger.star than 350/450.

So I read the other thread and did that guy buy the star for the Ml Or the 166 GL? it mentioned something about a 12v -5v converter. Not sure why that would be needed. Most have said you just tap the parking light wires

I was at the stealer for something and they had this on display - priced at $900 .... I'll let my star stay un-illuminated
