Grinding/crunching sound on acceleration
I am having a recent grinding sound when I go from a start to accelerate. I am thinking that it is chain the transfer case but I had the oil changed, and I can't really pinpoint but it does seem to be coming from my side of the cabin .. Anyone have experiance with this? Could the chain in the transfer case need adjustment?
I took it to the dealer last service and they said they didn't find anything..

Wheel bearings are a good thought, though. I would normally think of a bad wheel bearing as a "growling" sound, but that's just semantics. Sometimes, though, they only "complain" when they get extra stress on them... hard acceleration, for example. Try, in a parking lot, turning hard left or right at different throttle positions. See if that makes any difference. If you only hear it when turning in one direction, that helps narrow it down.
Although that's a pretty basic test and I would assume that a dealer would have done that.

if it isnt the diff it is your pass side cv joint (you might hear it on the driver side, but it is most often the pass side cv joint that goes)
take it to dealer and ask them to troubleshoot via chassis ears
