What does this mean? I have looked at parts diagrams and I see nothing that would tear except for the CV joint. Comments appreciated. Also, are these parts that are bought as an assembled kit or can you purchase individual components?

So I received a quote from an independent service provider, they say to replace bushing in upper Control Arm Front R/L, and to replace Lower R/L control arms plus alignment would be $2300. They show 10 hrs of labor required. Does this sound about right? I am sure dealer would be much more.

What are they charging for parts? The bushings are cheap. If Genuine MB parts, FCP Euro shows the lower control arms at $660 a piece. Thats $1300 right there if he quoted you for those parts. Aftermarket parts would be considerably less. 10 hours does seem like a lot for that considering you're just unbolting pieces sitting right in front of you (meaning its not a part buried deep under the hood requiring lots of other parts removed just to get to it.)
