Newbie Airmatic question
Greetings.
Here is the question which I have regarding how the Airmatic works on a GL350 - 2012.
From the parking position, before departing, I raised the vehicle, by pressing the button. Waited until it was completed and got the message that was level raised. The light on the button was still red while I was driving - but just for a while. I drove for about 8 miles. I stopped and went to refill. When I got back to the vehicle, I have seen that the entire vehicle seemed lower than before. I pushed the button again to raise it, and ...surprise, it started rising again, and then I got the message that the vehicle was raised and level.
Now, I know that this may sound stupid, but (a) shouldn't the vehicle stay "put" there until I decide to lower it, or (b) this is normal and I have nothing to worry.
Thank you in advance for your patience and help.

Yes, somewhere around 45-ish MPH, if I remember correctly. But I think there's a warning/info that pops up to show that the vehicle is being lowered again.

Newbie here as well. '14 GL450 CPO. Have read extensively and searched around and found this thread. I am having a hard time understanding the system, especially how to tell when it's not working. I get the idea that over a certain speed the car will lower itself to enhance stability. But as the OP wondered, how do you tell what the height of the car is in the first place? I was at a stop light when all of a sudden the front of the car started rising. Could not tell if the back did the same. I had been driving under 45 mph for quite awhile. Any thoughts? BTW, this is a regular Airmatic without any option enhancements.
