Where is the door latch switch
2008 GL 450. When I open the drivers side door, the dome lights don't come on. Also, when I exit the car after turning it off, the radio keeps playing. Sound like the switch that detects the door open is faulty Where is this switch located? Is it part of the door latch itself??

It's in the latch itself. I don't know much about it as I've never had to work on it. But I do know that you can close the latch with a screwdriver to make it think the door is closed. I had to do this to check for a parasitic battery drain.
