Side Mirror scratching paint
It seems to be closing too far! |
anybody?

Yes, there is a Mercedes service bulletin about this.
The solution is to replace the current motor with a new one. The bulletin is LI88.70-P-050725 and I don't appear to have an electronic copy. Mine has options 249 (auto dimming) and 275 (memory) and part numbers are 164 810 15 93 and 164 810 12 93 left and right. |
It will chew the paint on your door so don't wait to fix.

If you are really good with touch up paint, you can make it look OK.
