Washer Fluid Won't Work after going Empty and Refilling
Hi,
I have a 2009 GL550 that ran out of washer fluid the other day. I refilled the fluid today and the car still tells me to top off the fluid. I tried a using it a few times to see if it needed to get the fluid "flowing" and then after 2-3 tries the system stops responding and won't try to spray nor will it wipe the window. If I turn the car off and on, it will try again 2-3 times, but then stops again. If I try it with the car off and listen closely (key on), I hear a "clicking" like it's trying to active the spray, but no sound of a motor that I can tell.
I looked for a fuse specific to the washer spray, but don't see one, i only found fuse 100, 30amp for "wipers".
Any idea on this? Keep in mind, the front and rear washers worked perfectly prior to this.

There are two (2) fuses for the wipers: #60 (5 Amp, in the trunk fuse box), and #100 (30 Amp, in the engine bay). So, check your other fuse.
If both fuses are ok, then troubleshoot as per the following link: Troubleshooting Mercedes Windshield Washer Problems

Washer pumps frequently fail ... they aren’t really heavy duty items and consequently aren’t so expensive. A blown fuse is almost always indicative of a component failure ... not a fuse failure.
