Has anyone ran a staggered setup on their gl350

Looking to see if anyone has some info or pics of a staggered wheel setup on the gl350. And yes I understand circumference has to be the same.
I have the wheel flare kit on mine and it looks so silly with wheels inset so far.

Now just one GL450 with EORP.
That does look quite comical...is this a recent acquisition?

Another way you can get around this (but creating other problems in the process) is by using a spacer to push the existing rear wheel out to fill the arch.
There are also some some japanese tuner sites devoted to making the x164 look baller, and you might get an idea there.

If they're stick on I'd just yank the arches and leave it well enough alone but that's just me.

Not sure what your current wheel specs are, but look into the 21' wheels from the 550 with ET +37. I have a set of 19' from W164 with ET +60 for my winter setup and the gap looks pretty close to yours with them. I have a 550 with the flares.

Fellah Canadian, eh!? I'm on the East coast.

There are two variants of the 21' wheels. One came with 2009 and older, I think, the other with 2010+ model year. I have the 2010. IIRC they are both 21x10, ET +37, but it would be worth looking that up, to be sure. ET is stamped inside the wheel and has ET +XX. XX are digits. The smaller the digits, the farther the wheel will stick out.

the 2010+ wheels

How they look on mine (there are tons of pics online, too)

the 2009 year model

and some more pics from an article I found by googling. There are tons of pics on these wheels/trucks too.

Look for the wheels in salvage yards around you, or indy MB shops. They might have some laying around. I would also look on Kijiji in your area, but that could be a little riskier. You don't want to end up with bent/cracked wheels because the seller knew about the wheel damage but didn't disclose it. If the wheels are bent or cracked, walk away! Repairing a wheel and putting it on a 5500lb tank-like vehicle is not safe, IMHO.

I am comfortable buying used wheels from private sellers, but I've got some practice doing it and accept the risks, as well.

P.S. tire options for the 21 inch wheels are somewhat limited and pricy. I am about to shell out for Yokohama Geolandars in the OEM size which run around 1500 for a set where I am. You might find some "off brand" tires for lower price, but anyhing Pirelli and Michelin make in the OE size is $500+/tire.
