Did it come on after fueling up, and is your gas cap on secure?

9/10 times this is the culprit for 0455 - generically called a large evap leak.

Often 0455 is the evap valve, located on the filler neck. If you are handy, you can remove, disassemble, clean, and grease with silicone, and you will not have the problem anymore.

If you are not handy, you can buy a replacement valve. They aren't very expensive.

If you are not handy, and are broke, you can put tape over the CEL.

This is why you should never top off. The liquid gasoline washes away the grease and makes the rubber seals stop working.

Get yourself a bluetooth OBD adapter. Then you can install Torque on your phone, and reset those codes.

I was on a road trip and found it annoying enough that the CEL would come on (cat converter errors) and figured out how to reset them while I'm driving.

If you had a problem with the gas cap, you probably would see it in the condition of the o-ring. Odds are you need to service the evap control valve as I described earlier.

If the condition that triggered the CEL no longer persists it will go away after three cold to hot cycles.

Could be what is wrong with mine. When I refill, it won't start until it sits for some time. Wouldn't happen to have a part number? Do you access via the right wheel liner?

Did you find the root cause? I seem to have the same issue, it will go away for a while and then come back up after the fuel tank goes to around 75% I have already replaced the fuel cap, purge valve and the whole vapor canister as the smoke test showed a leak on its valve but the check engine is still there times to times.

I did, when the fuel pump was changed the top of the pump was not sealed all the way. I took everything apart and tightened it up with a tool I purchased on Amazon. Never went back to that shop again.

Good thing you checked. If you had rolled over, the gas tank would have emptied all over the chassis and, if the little lid had not been sealed, into the passenger compartment.
