2011 GL450: Airmatic seems to be working as no messages and raises and lowers when asked to, BUT, on several occasions it sounds like it is purging or releasing air after the vehicle is turned off. It is a very noticeable sound and, sometimes, I can see t,he vehicle lower a little bit.
If you can hear the air purge when closing the door or something it is most likely that your air intake hose has cracked. I would replace the hose that goes around the wheel well asap as it could suck in unfiltered air through the cracked hose. This is a common failure.

Doesn’t mean the hose is cracked, but it is good to check. It usually cracks at the 90° angle where it inserts into the compressor.
You’ll have to remove the front inner wheel liner, which is facilitated by cranking the wheel all the way over to the right.
Again, a whooshing noise does not mean that the hose is cracked. It is normal as the excess pressure is reverse vented back out through the filter, keeping it clean in the process.
