Reread what Fab wrote in post #1 when he started this thread. It says internal Mercedes bulletin. Deliveries begin in March. What more proof do you need?
#27
You are correct I order in July and delivery took place in November!
#28
This does not mean what you order will make a March delivery.

Just a guess but I would think the next full redesign would be a 2019 model since the trend has been a new model every 6 years and the current X166 was born in 2013. But just a guess since MB can do whatever they want or whatever the market dictates.

2015 - GL 550
As Its been a year to my 15 550 I guess holding off until 2018 sounds like a plan as the vehicle would still be under factory warranty and can still get good bucks compare to 4 year old WO factory warranty my 2 cent......
Also just noticed your Display Pic seems like you already made your mind for the next car

I test drove the GLE and the new console design is a recipe for rattle!
Hopefully they do a better job assembling the GLS than they did for the GLE.
Sadly the GLE did have console rattle issues at 1000 miles; coming from the standoff screen design. Dealer can't fix it because that's how it's designed; cheap plastic.

My son has the new C-Class with the same display and at 15K miles there is not a single rattle. Of course a car here and there could have a rattle but I wouldn't think its a wide-spread issue. I test drove a GLE as well it was very quiet, more so than my GL. MB has embraced the new floating display so I'm thinking they'll get it right.

I'll just have to see it in person. The camera angle on your photo does a good trick. The other photos were not too impressive-something about the face. It may be that if I stare at it long enough, I'll learn to like it; kinda like having 10 beers+a few shot, then looking at fat chicks.

Same thing with this...if you don't like it, you'll see it every AM in your garage- without the benefit of 10 beers/shots.
