Down payment?
 

I will finance a new GL. I'm going to finalize the agreed to price with the dealer and finance with my credit union. I intend to put additional funds down.


Should I put down money on the car at the dealer or with my credit union toward the loan? Does it matter?

Doesn't matter, but putting it with dealer is what lot of people does. But with Credit Union I believe once you have the purchase order submitted you gotta give the CU your down payment and then they wire the money (cost of car) to the dealer or cut a check.

With CU it is little different again it depends on each CU.
