2013 GL550

2013 GL - Ashtray removal help

Been searching for an hour and can't find instructions on how to remove the ashtray on a 2013 GL550. What I'm calling the ashtray is the next to the cigarette lighter/power port in front of the cup holders underneath the sliding cover. I use it for change and my kid managed to get a couple of coins underneath it from the side and back and they rattle anytime I drive over 30mph.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

just pull it straight up, i did it the other day.

sounds like in your case the coins made the ashtray jammed

Push it to the left or the right first (can't remember which direction) then pull straight up.

Thanks! Gave it a yank and recovered 16 cents and the rattling is gone. =)

We are trying to delete the ash tray in the front of the cup holders next to the cigarrette lighter plug port. Read your instructions however it is not coming out, any suggestions?
