2014 Adaptive braking and cruise .. Whatz the catch on this one
Planning to move from a MDX to Have a few questions... Appreciate quick feedback..
1- Does 2014 models had distronic plus as option.. Does this have adaptive cruise and auto front braking ???. Asking because some private dealers dont have proper options listed.. basically Im trying to buy with auto braking and adaptive cruise. So need to know how to check
2- How do I get a MSRP with installed options for a VIN #??. Is it possible if this is not a CPO
3. What is autoipacket. is this only available for dealers ?? or for private buyers..
4. The following 2014 GL 450 is listed for 36K with 45000 miles and 10 more months remaining in warranty.. What is the catch if any. Carfax seems to be OK

The description is wrong about having the appearance package. But no biggie. Didn't see anything mentioned about lighting package. So safe to assume it is not included which means it has halogen lights. I'll pass.
Price appears to be pretty good. From past experience, I'm ball parking the MSRP is be around $77k range.
Seller also including 3 years of maintenance. Curious if this is Mercedes maintenance or their own oil change only. If you look at the car fax report, it seems the previous owner took it to an oil change place only and not Mercedes. Nothing wrong doing it DIY (for the filter changes or brake flush - something I noticed the Mercedes dealers do during the A and B service). But can you be sure the previous owner did all those items or is this just a lemon awaiting the next owner.
No distronic coz it wasn't listed and the front photo does
not show where the sensor is usually located by the emblem.

For your future reference, a sure way to tell from the photographs if the car has Optional distronic adaptive cruise and automatic braking is to look at the grille and see if the big Mercedes circle is three dimensional and hollow, chrome star in front of inset grille looking stuff, or if it is flush smooth and filled in with dark glossy material around the star design. The latter is the sensor, as mentioned by another. If says lighted star in grille, that's incompatible with distronic.
