Push Button Start Doesn't Always Work (GL350)
My wife's 2014 CPO GL350 has started having an issue where the push button start doesn't always start the vehicle, but it usually will after a minute or two of trying. The batteries in both fobs have been replaced. If I pop the button out of the dash and use the key, the vehicle cranks right up.
This leads me to think there is something wrong with the actual ignition button. Has anyone else experienced this issue? It is still under CPO warranty, so I will probably take it in, but I'd like to get other's experiences if you've experienced something similar.

Take it in........make 'em fix it. The Benz push button is a bit more temperamental than other Euro makes in my experience. If the batteries are fresh it's the button assembly for sure.

It's probably the button itself, $25 online for it but a million dollars to have it programmed. Maybe an hour of labor.

The button is a direct swap, no programming needed. You might need to replace it, but I would clean the button first with electric contact cleaner or maf cleaner. Zippo fluid might work too.

Taking it in this morning...I'll let you know when they're done with it. Also having them check the creaking door seals which I haven't been able to quiet down with conditioner/grease/etc.

They are still trying to replicate the starting issue...it did it the morning I took it in, but of course it is behaving while at the dealer. They said they would let it sit over the weekend and see what happens Monday.

The vehicle has been at the dealership since last Thursday and the adviser said they have started it over 30 times and it is acting perfectly normal. Just one of those random things I guess...I'll see if it does it anymore in the future. It probably will when I get in it tomorrow morning.
