2013 GL450 sitting on 2014 GL63 AMG Wheels 21's
So i upgraded my OEM 20's to the GL63 AMG Wheels 21's.
I was a bit worried how the ride would feel, especially after reading this thread https://mbworld.org/forums/gl-class-...ard-gl450.html and learning of the 16mm extra width compared with the OEm 20's, which would result in the wheels sticking out. Im happy to say the ride quality feels a lot better, especially at corners and turns. The extra inch of rubber makes a world of a difference. Not to mention how it looks better
While the wheel protrusion is noticeable, i feel it gives it a nice aggressive stance. Overall im happy
For anyone else who has considered upgrading to the 21's, ive attached some photos that try and show how wide the wheels are.
Thanks

Hey Nate
I found a local seller on Ebay and he was more than happy to do a trade plus cash for the OEM 20's that this car came on. There are also a lot of wheel sellers that specialize in factory take offs, but finding the right set can be difficult
Good luck!

Did the seller claim those are actual Gl63 AMG wheels? They look like replica wheels. Nothing's wrong with that, as long as you know what you're buying.
edit: sorry, never mind, looks like GL 63 did have this kind of wheels as well. I'm just used to seeing them with another design wheels

Has the tire noise (db's) increased inside the interior?

No worries. But since you asked i did my due diligence to make sure the wheels were the OEM 63 because first the Ebay seller has a 97.XX reputation score on Ebay (for having genuine takeoffs), then after i had them put on Autobahn Motors (MB dealer) here in the Bay Area confirmed they were real
If i had to do it all over again, i would consider replica 22's on name brand tires. This is because bigger is better and 22 tires cost less than 21's
