Your best bet is to find a reputable local Indy. I was also quoted something similar by the stealer (I meant dealer). Local indy just quoted me 1 hour labor to change them.

Can you still buy a pre-paid maintenance plan? You'll get a heck of a deal by having this covered under it. That's how I got mine done. I think I paid at the time $2,200 for 3 years of service and one of them was the spark plugs that was close to the $2,200!! Plus I got a transmission flush on top of that the next year. Oil changes are included every year.

That makes no sense. OEM spark plugs are only around $8 each. So you can have all new plugs for $65. Changing plugs in these is kind of a b*tch, especially the rear plugs that are difficult to access. By far the biggest cost of a spark plug change in these trucks (or any Benz) is the labor. So why try to resuscitate the old ones? When I'm due for mine next year, I'll be buying OEM plugs online and taking it to my indy.
2010 550 ml .. just about to do the plugs and they all look easy... besides the last two rear ones. ...
any tips ? .. lol could i just change 6 ?
