Driver's seat moving

The part of the seat which you directly sit on seems to be moving when the vehicle shifts weight(on turns). The seat itself doesn't move but i can feel something underneath me moving left and right and it clicks when its in the end position. Any DIY quick fixes for this?

I too have similar symptoms since I bought it new on 2015 GL550 and multiple Dealer trips couldn't resolve it. So just left it as is.

Thanks

Ditto. I'm trying to loose weight to fix it. ;)

Mine does it too, 2013 GL63

I have MB AMG warranty but apparently seats arent covered, they dont know what it is though so not paying for ongoing diagnostic until somebody figures out what’s happening

I don't think it's loose seat rails, instead I believe it's the coils or springs in the seat pad .

I agree, my cushion feels like its broken down and has started to fall between the springs, I have a crease in the leather down the centre of the seat https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...baf7d4ff1.jpeg

Hmm but it almost feels like the part which is right underneath the driver is a separate part of in the seat mine fee's like it moves 1/8 inch left to right.

Yes i get that movement feeling occasionally and the clunking thst feels like its in the back part of the seat base a lot

Mercedes dealer suggested if I pay for diagnostic time to remove cover etc then they find defects that are warranty claims the diagnostic fee will be returned, its just the question of likelihood of them putting repairs through under warranty because I dont have a great success rate, they prefer to say not covered and get no work than say its covered and get the repair job!!

That's strange.. Here's a diagram for the seat.https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...a34b240e1d.png

Do you think it's our weight?

My last vehicle, the smaller brother ML63 W166 suffered the same noises, its a design flaw in my opinion, Ive viewed newer GLS63’s and can see the seat centre starting to drop down compared with the passenger fron seat which obviously gets less use

Pretty poor quality all things considered
