Annoying fan speeds

In my '14 GL450 the heat/ac fan control has an obnoxious way of going from full blast on 6 to off the cliff and barely blowing anything...

My service tech said that it's typical for these - is it? Anyone else experiencing that?

Unhappy

Yes, I have the same problem. I've had the GL350 almost 5 years and it has always been like that, but for some reason lately it seems to be worse. I actually just had it at the dealership yesterday for an oil change and asked them to check the fan speeds. It's nuts that to cool down in 90 degree weather it has to be on the highest setting and for a long time. I was given a GLS 450 as a loaner and I tried the air conditioning out in that one and same issue. Somehow I feel like it blows a lot more in the back of the car as I can hear it and it's sometimes annoying and too loud. Alas, there is nothing they can do as they say it is all normal.
