GL450 V8 with 45k miles....need some advice
So I found a 2014 GL450 with 45k miles on it for about $37k. It has the V8 engine, as well as a lot of other options. What concerns me is mileage, since it isn't under warranty any longer. How do these engines hold up? I know that there have been reliability threads in the past. Ideally I'd love something with mileage in the 30-40k range, since we drive about 17k a year on the freeways due to commuting. The car is located in TX and I'm in FL - its through one of the online dealers. The carfax checks out, and photos look good. Any feedback?

Sure - with the mileage you drive you should consider buying a Mercedes Certified Pre-Owned - if original new car warranty has expired - you will have 1yr unlimited mileage CPO warranty and you can purchase additional 2yr unlimited mileage CPO warranty if you choose up to last day of that original year..

Listen to fabbrisd1. I bought my CPO '14 GL450 with 43k on the clock 14 months ago. Just did the 60k service. At the risk of jinxing myself, engine and the rest of the car have been rock solid. Here are listings from the MBUSA site for '14 GL450 CPO's with max 50k. Happy hunting.

I just stumbled on some luck here! I was considering purchasing a 2014 with no warranty - but last night, a private seller popped up locally, like 5 miles from my house with a 2015 GL450, with only 33k miles on - in immaculate shape, with warranty, and a lot of options!!! I jumped on the deal!!! Now I just need to find out when the warranty expires, and get a quote to extend it!
