gl63 2nd row heated seats

Does anyone have the schematic for 2013 x166 heated rear seats? the one in my gl63 does not seem to work. The lights are not lighting. The fuse is good so im trying to chase down the gremlins Also how is the rear black plastic bezel removed that faces the back where the button is located? are they just clips? I think if i remember correctly, there are two screws behind the dvd player.

TIA

To get to the bezel and also remove the control unit, you must remove the entire center console. The center console can come out in around 10 minutes, but getting the bezel off and HVAC unit out is a much bigger challenge. I believe there are around 8-10 screws you have to remove....and some of them are pretty hidden. You will need a magnetic screw driver when putting it back together. It is not clips. If you tug on it, you will break it.

Since you have a 2013, your truck didn't come with the heated/cooled cup holders. Since you're going to have the center console out anyway, you may as well swap out the cup holders. You can find used ones on eBay for around $200 or less. You will also need a new wiring harness for around $70.

Might be a good idea to cover the edges with felt if you don't have the problem to avoid it.
