'13 GL450 best tire pressures
with 20" wheels, I'd been running 32 front 36 rear, which is basically what I'd run for years on my two preview x164 GLs. But I'm getting horrible tire life and the car is really squirrelly in heavy rain.
Is 39 front 47 rear really the optimum for tire life and wet stability? Having the door jam sticker and the fuel door sticker vary so widely is definitely confusing.

I tow often in the summer, and I keep my pressures at about 40 front and about 48 rear. Tire life has been great so far, but I've only ran my tires (20" Coopers) about 25,000 miles since I bought my GL450 a few years ago. I hope to get 50k out of the tires. I switch over to winter wheels (19") and tires at lower pressures (high 30's all around), for better grip on ice and better braking performance in the wet, for about 4 months here in Oregon. I like the higher pressures in the summer because it sharpens the handling slightly and makes it a little less floaty. Since I have a GL450 I don't have a "sport" setting so the higher tire pressure makes up for that somewhat.
