2013 GL500 X166 Airmatic issues
I have a 2013 GL500 that I purchased about 6 months ago. I had the occasional sag in the rear left after being parked (just dropped, but not completely) but not always. Just random occasions. A couple of weeks ago, I came out after weeks of no issue and the rear left was completely dropped. Started and it pumped straight up. Drove a short while and “compressor Cooling” warning came up followed by the Airmatic Malfunction warning.
I order and replaces both rear bags and the valve block whilst at it just to be sure.
Fire up after, rears pump up, but front left is dropped completely and I can hear hissing. Rest of system maintains air and stays at raised level.
Ordered new front struts.
Replaced the leaking one (front left) yesterday. Fired her up and front pumps up, but now rear right won’t adjust height, all others are at a raised level. Pressing comfort/sport or the raise lower button doesn’t change any of the heights. Front left, front right and rear left all raised, and rear right sitting in sports mode height.
Sitting in driveway I can hear the compressor cycle, but no height adjustment. If I drive it, after about 100m I get the malfunction warning.
Left it overnight and all bags maintain air and height.
Is there a way to reset the system/recalibrate without a scan tool or any ideas as to possible cause???
Thanks
col.
