Pre- Safe Function Limited / Traction Control Lights
Car goes into limp mode and cant accelerate well enough to drive safely. Issue is intermittent and comes on and off. Sometimes the issue will go away as soon as the car starts rolling first thing in the morning.
Dealer says it needs a traction control hydraulic unit ($3450). Did not say anything about sensors in bumper, etc.
I had an indy shop pull codes and there were several possible related CAN BUS codes:
1. u012100 [Current/History] Communication with ESP has a malfunction
2.1 C101500 [current/history] The values of component 'A7/3 (traction system hydraulic unit)' are faulty.
2.2 C232000 [stored] one or more signals sent from control unit 'N73 (electronic ignition lock control unit)' via the CAN bus are implausible
2.3 C232100 [stored] one or more signals sent from control unit 'N73 (electronic ignition lock control unit)' via the CAN bus are implausible
- C101500 [CURRENT/HISTORY]The values of component 'A7/3 (Traction system hydraulic unit' are faulty.
- C232000 [STORED]One or more signals sent from control unit 'N73 (Electronic ignition lock control unit)' via the
CAN bus is implausible. - C232100 [STORED]One or more signals sent from control unit 'N73 (Electronic ignition lock control unit via the
CAN bus is implausible.
1 U041500 [CURRENT/HISTORY]Implausible data were received from control unit "ESP®". _
Do these codes line up with the dealer recommendation? It has traction control codes, but also bumper sensors.
- C120400 [STORED]Control unit "COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST" is disrupted by interference from an externe
transmitter. - C326600 [STORED]Chassis CAN busCAN signal "Operating condition" from control unit "Electronic stability
program" is implausible. - C32700 [STORED]Chassis CAN busCAN signal "Braking torque" from control unit "Electronic stability program
implausible. - C338700 [STORED]Chassis CAN bUsCAN signal "Brake request" from control unit "Electronic stabilty program"
implausible. - C371000 [STORED] system "collision prevention assist" has triggered a warning
- C371100 [STORED] system "BAS PRO" was triggered.
These units are all over ebay (used) in the $200-$300 range. Would you know if it would need to be programmed to the car after replacement?? If not I will probably DIY this.
I am dropping the car off for a more thorough troubleshoot at the indy dealer that pulled the CAN codes and will see if they have a similar recommendation.
Thanks
