apologies if i missed any earlier post. haven't been here for a long time. i tried yakima and thule and they don't seem to have the integrated cross bar with my 2014 gl550. anyone has any reco? trying to carry thule box on top.

I use OEM bars - they are cheaper than Thule or Yakima and keep the Thule box slightly higher. But if I were to do it again, I'd get Thule 53" wingbars - they are quieter (without the box) and leave more room if you want to put more things on the roof.

I recommend checking out inno racks (Japanese brand). They take about 3min to put on and off so I never leave mine on because it's so easy.

I used Thule wingbar Evo on the W166 and they are awesome, full satisfaction and no complaints.

what type of rack did you get from inno? looks interesting. i like the more integrated one but not sure what size bar to get

Bar size was trial and error. I bought several length from Amazon that I thought would fit and returned the ones that weren't compatible. I'll measure the distance btwn my rails and see how that distance compares to my bar lengths which should give you an idea.

I have confirmed that these fit a Mercedes GLE SUV 2020 thru 2024 with these items and bars:

XS100 aero mounts

XB108 42inch FOR REAR
I measured around 41" gap btwn raised crossbars in the rear

XB115 45inch FOR FRONT
I measured around 44" gap btwn raised crossbars in the front

So you might be able to extrapolate this info and order the correct size bars for yourself.
