Fixing the soft close feature on one door (software issue not broken actuator)

Solution: while the car is "on" not necessarily with engine running, disconnect all power to door module then reconnect.
This is applicable to a number of cars other than X166.
Hopefully all of you guys with the same issue can fix it this way.
First of all, mine, and likely yours, was never broken. The actuators do break though. So you have to reset correctly to be sure before changing an expensive working part. It just had one of those electronic blockages that happen to every car but then you turn the car off then on and every thing is fine. That's not how it works with Mercedes though. Once you have one of those, the module needs to be reset. So I would disconnect and reconnect the battery but in X166 I've been told that's not an option, but I'm still doing my research.

So I took the door panel off initially to get the actuator out and diagnose the issue. But thought that before removing the window glass and all those other things to get to actuator, why not reset the door module first. People here said to do that, so I did and it worked.

Now it would be more ideal to disconnect the fuse to the door module but the diagram doesn't show it. I'd love to get the fuse if someone knows it.

Thank you to the people who talked about power reset to door. The car felt incomplete without this.

The fuses for the door actuators are very hard to get to. The ones for the left side doors are in a small box that sits right under the box with the + post under the hood. If you remove the cabin filter housing you'll see it attached to the side of the engine bay. The ones for the right side doors are in the battery compartment under the passenger seat, all the way to the right under the floor. All four of these fuses seem impossible to remove without removing the boxes, unless I'm missing something.
